Support that feels genuine, respectful, and grounded in real life.

Independent Support Work & Companion Care – Northern Rivers NSW

Alongside counselling, I provide NDIS-funded independent support work and self-funded companion care for people who want practical, compassionate support to feel confident, independent, and connected in everyday life.

With a Diploma of Counselling (Advanced Studies), majoring in Grief & Loss, Child & Adolescent Support, and Mindfulness, I bring professional training, experience, and a warm, person-centred approach to every session.

Please note: These services are support and companionship, not counselling or therapy. While I draw on my counselling training to provide a warm, supportive approach, sessions focus on practical, day-to-day support, community access, and meaningful connection.

Client Experiences

“Sahra is one of the most supportive, positive, encouraging ladies I’ve ever met. She has been my Support Worker through NDIS for some time and I can’t thank her enough. She inspires, gently encourages, and assists me to achieve my goals, attends appointments with me, and gets me out into the community each week. I feel nurtured, cared for, and encouraged to achieve my daily tasks and meet new goals.”
– NDIS Participant

“I referred my NDIS participant to Sahra for support work, and I would like to express my gratitude for the exceptional care and support she provided. Sahra went above and beyond to ensure my participant felt safe, comfortable, and understood. She genuinely cares about making a positive impact on those she supports.”
– Holly, NDIS Coordinator
