Adults Counselling Northern Rivers NSW
Anxiety, Burnout, Self-Worth, Grief & Life Transitions Support
At Coastal Counselling Walk & Talk Therapy, I offer a calm, supportive space for adults who are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or simply trying to hold too much at once.
Life can look “fine” on the outside while feeling heavy on the inside. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, grief and loss, relationship stress, or a period of change, you don’t have to move through it alone.
I support adults across the Northern Rivers through gentle, down-to-earth counselling that meets you where you are - emotionally and physically.
Counselling for Adults Who Are Holding a Lot
You may be here because you are experiencing:
Anxiety, overthinking, or constant mental overwhelm
Burnout and emotional exhaustion
Low self-worth or self-doubt
Grief, loss, or life after change
Relationship stress or disconnection
Life transitions (separation, career change, identity shifts)
Parenting overwhelm or adjustment
Feeling stuck, flat, or not like yourself
Together, we gently explore what’s going on beneath the surface - not just the symptoms, but the nervous system responses and life experiences that may be shaping how you feel today.
My Approach to Supporting Adults
My counselling approach is holistic, gentle, and grounded in real-life experience. I draw on:
Person-centred counselling
Mindfulness-based therapy
Nervous system regulation and grounding practices
Somatic awareness (listening to the body’s signals)
CBT-informed strategies (thought patterns and self-talk)
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
Solution-focused support when helpful
This means we don’t just talk about what’s wrong—we also work with your body, your patterns, and practical tools to support regulation, clarity, and change.
Sessions are always paced with care. You won’t be rushed, fixed, or judged.
Walk & Talk Therapy and Online Sessions
For many adults, sitting face-to-face in a room can feel intense or unfamiliar. That’s why I also offer Walk & Talk Therapy - a gentle, movement-based way of working outdoors.
Being in nature can support:
Nervous system regulation
Reduced anxiety and overthinking
Easier conversation and emotional processing
A sense of grounding and clarity
Online counselling is also available if you prefer comfort, privacy, or flexibility.
Supporting Adults Across the Northern Rivers
I work with clients across:
Ballina
Brunswick Heads
Kingscliff
Tweed Heads
Lennox Head
Byron Bay
Sessions are available in-person (walk & talk in nature), locally across the Northern Rivers, and online Australia-wide.
You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out
Many adults I work with arrive feeling like they “should be coping better” or “should have it sorted by now.”
But the truth is - life can feel heavy, especially when you’ve been holding things in for a long time.
Therapy can be a space where you finally slow down, reconnect with yourself, and start to understand what you need - without pressure or expectation.
A Gentle Invitation
If you’re feeling anxious, stuck, exhausted, or simply not yourself lately, you’re welcome here.
We can move slowly, at your pace, and begin with wherever you are right now.
Warmly,
Sahra
