Welcome to Coastal Counselling Walk & Talk Therapy | Northern Rivers NSW
Nature. Movement. Courageous Conversations.
Are you ready to take a step toward healing, self-discovery, and lasting change?
At Coastal Counselling Walk and Talk Therapy, I support teenagers and adults navigating life’s challenges—whether it’s low self-esteem, anxiety, grief, or simply feeling stuck. Together, we walk through it—literally—side by side, along the breathtaking coastline of Northern NSW.
Because sometimes, the most powerful conversations happen outside the therapy room.
Why Walk and Talk?
Movement in nature gently supports emotional regulation, connection, and clarity. It’s a relaxed, empowering alternative to traditional counselling—where silence is welcome, emotion is honored, and growth feels natural.
Our sessions are guided by a person-centred, strengths-based approach. This means I see you as the expert in your own life—and I’m here to help you reconnect with your own wisdom, resilience, and potential.
Where We Walk
Sessions are held along the stunning coastlines of:
Tweed Heads | Kingscliff | Cabarita | New Brighton | Lennox Head | Ballina
Other locations and flexible options (including wet-weather alternatives) are also available to suit your needs.
This is therapy, reimagined.
Whether you're a teen facing big emotions or transitions, or an adult longing to feel more connected and confident—this space is for you.
You don’t have to go it alone. When you're ready, I’m here to walk with you.
Let’s Take the First Step Together
Because healing doesn’t have to happen inside four walls.
Because your story matters.
Because you're ready to grow—and you don’t have to do it alone.
At Coastal Counselling Walk and Talk Therapy, sessions are different. They’re grounded in nature, built on trust, and centred around you. Whether you're navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, or simply seeking a safe space to explore your thoughts, this approach offers something more than just talk—it offers movement, connection, and calm.
Nature-based Healing
Being outdoors in the fresh air and natural beauty of the Northern NSW coastline can help ease anxiety, support emotional release, and create space for reflection. Nature becomes your co-therapist—grounding, calming, and gently holding what words sometimes can’t.
Movement Supports Change
When we walk, we think differently. Movement helps regulate emotions, reduce stress, and often makes it easier to speak openly. Walk and talk therapy allows for natural pauses, silence, and flow—perfect for those who find sitting face-to-face overwhelming or unfamiliar.
Person-Centred and Strengths-Based
You're not broken. You're human. And you already hold strengths, insights, and wisdom—sometimes you just need support to reconnect with them. I walk beside you, not ahead of you, offering genuine care, curiosity, and compassion every step of the way.
Flexible and Grounded in Real Life
From Tweed Heads to Ballina, sessions take place along stunning coastal paths. If it’s rainy or if you prefer, we can adapt—offering alternative sheltered or indoor options that still honour the supportive, relaxed feel of walk and talk.
Created with Heart
This service was born from lived experience, deep empathy, and a belief in the power of connection—to self, to others, and to nature. It’s not clinical. It’s not rushed. It’s real, warm, and human.
Coastal Counselling Walk and Talk Therapy is for those ready to grow, reflect, and reconnect—naturally.
Take the first step today.
Why Choose Coastal Counselling Walk & Talk Therapy?
Hello
I’m Sahra – Your Compassionate Counsellor in Northern Rivers, NSW
Founder of Coastal Counselling Walk and Talk Therapy, counsellor, and someone who understands that healing rarely happens in a straight line—or within four walls.
I walk beside teenagers and adults navigating anxiety, grief, low self-worth, and the big, messy, beautiful process of growth and self-discovery. My approach is person-centred and strengths-based—rooted in connection, compassion, and the belief that you already hold the answers within you.
This work is deeply personal to me.
I know grief—not just in theory, but in the quiet, aching way it touches everything. I’ve experienced loss that shaped me, stretched me, and eventually guided me toward this path. I know what it feels like to search for meaning in the aftermath, to feel alone, to long for a space where it’s okay not to be okay.
That’s why I created something different.
Nature has been my own medicine—a place where I’ve cried, breathed, reflected, and rebuilt. Now, I offer that same space to others. Not clinical. Not rushed. Just real, grounded, and gentle.
I offer sessions along the Northern NSW coastline—from Tweed Heads to Ballina—and flexible options for when nature isn't practical. Whether we’re walking quietly or diving into courageous conversation, the goal is the same: to help you reconnect—with yourself, your values, and your inner strength.
If you’re ready to take that first step, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
Warmly,
Sahra Baines
